HCTP Monthly Seminar Series
The HCTP Seminar Series is designed as a professional development feature of the Strategic Research Training Program, and will advance networking, joint mentoring and supervision. It also provides a venue for HCTP Mentors and Fellows to share research problems and solutions within an interdisciplinary context.
The Seminars are designed as a regular forum for HCTP Fellows to receive constructive feedback on research-in-progress or to receive suggestions for future direction on completed work from an attentive, interdisciplinary, expert audience. Following the speaker presentation, a discussant specifically selected for the discussant's orthogonally related research expertise, responds to the presenter's work. The discussant highlights alternative but complementary approaches to data collection, interpretation, and/or theory development.
HCTP Seminars are held on a Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:30 pm (unless stated otherwise) at the Health Sciences Building, room 412, University of Toronto, 155 College Street.
The HCTP Seminar Series is available online as a live webcast. Just click the webcast link, enter your name (please include your discipline or affiliated department), and press play. There is a
chat window on the screen for your questions or comments. This will be monitored throughout the seminar.
The presentations will be archived for later viewing. Please check the Search Seminar page to view past seminars.
All are welcome!
